Come here, geekdom

I have noticed recently that my already low readership is usually even lower on Fridays. I figure it may have something to do with longer lunches and drinks after work. I also noticed that when I mentioned X Files actress Gillian Anderson in a previous post, several hits came here via several guys (well, I assume guys) who evidently search blogs for the very mention of her name.

So, in the interests of increasing a Friday's figures:

There is talk of a second X Files movie. Talk about a case of Rocky-itis. I didn't even like the first movie, although I loved the series for the first few years. I can't remember by which season the rot had set in.

Gillian has her own website/blog type thingee, which she seems to make an entry about once every 6 months.

She does take a good photo, though.

And I don't, I suppose?

Harumph!

I like her better when she just looks like herself, not a wet t-shirt competition entry. She doesn't have the right look for sexing it up.

I hope they do make a second film.

Loved X-Files, loved the first film.

Millenium was brilliant. Did you follow that one Steve? I think it only ran for three seasons(?), much to my disappointment. Still it was great while it lasted.

They don't make telly shows like that anymore.

Mind you, I'm enjoying Heroes - that's been a fun surprise. Will wait to see how it develops.

I never have time to read blogs when I'm at work. Some places block all blogs too, so even if I had time, I couldn't.

Fridays - yep, I guess they all have a long lunch, or do their shopping (after pay day), and leave early?

It's a global thing too. When I used to take any notice of my blog stats, numbers from all countries would dip on Fridays (ie, our Friday, or Friday time O/S). It was quite a dramatic drop, every week, no exceptions.

Okay, maybe the rule doesn't apply for starving Africans. Not sure that I have African visitors, on any day of the week.

Yes Caz, it is a rather porn inspired look in that photo. Can't complain too much though!

(Zoe, don't try to duplicate that look yet!)

No I never saw an episode of Millennium, but I did read some good reviews of it. I don't know why I never gave it a try: I think it may have been around during a particularly busy period of courtship, marriage etc. I don't think it got good time slots either.

It's good to know it is not just my blog that takes a dip on Fridays.
